This is much better than possibly having heavy machinery and multiple work crews sitting idle while we try to solve a problem in the field. This cuts down on time lost to problems that get caught out in the field, because we've already caught those problems in the office. For example, we should no longer have utilities designed so that they cross through each other. Not only is this much faster than changing each plan page individually, it cuts down on the amount of errors.Īs another benefit, having a 3D model cuts down on many errors that are common in "old-style" designs. The final point does not need to be a previously entered data point. Whenever you make a change to the model, the changes are immediately reflected in all plan pages.
